The founders of Delta Sigma Theta envisioned an organization committed to serious endeavor and academic excellence. The Century City Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, is committed to upholding the commitment to education in the greater Los Angeles community. As one of our major public service programs, we have established scholarships to enable qualified applicants to continue their education.
Residence in the United States of America is required. Transcript should indicate a minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale, or 2.06 on a 3.0 scale.

Century City Alumnae Scholarships

The Continuing Student Scholarship is a newly established scholarship and is designed to provide financial support to African American students pursuing Bachelor's degrees who are at sophomore, junior or senior status.
The recipient will be notified of the award by late June 2026.
Please make sure you have carefully read the qualifications for this scholarship. All application packets become the property of the Century City Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and will not be returned.

The Mary Murphy Scholarship was established by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Century City Alumnae Chapter in 1985.
This scholarship is designed to provide financial support to women pursuing graduate and professional degrees, especially in the fields where African American women are underrepresented.
The recipient will be notified of the award by late June 2026.

The Sara Finney Johnson Scholarship is a newly established scholarship to honor one of our beloved chapter members and her commitment to a career within Arts, Entertainment & Media.
This scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior (male or female) pursuing a degree in Film and/or Television. The recipient will be notified of the scholarship award by late June 2026.
